Steam Labs is a private Robotics tutor school based in Bangkok that offers online and face to face VEX Robotics programs. Steam Labs also offers programming courses in Python, Java, and C++ as well as IGCSE Computer Science, A-Level Computer Science, and IB Computer Science as well as ethical hacking courses using the Raspberry Pi.

WordPress Website Design & Dev

It was great to be asked by Rob to work on the updated website for Steam Labs. Working with Rob the DIGITAL BASE team were able to come u with a simple website design playing fof the colours and elements of the VEX Robotics system they’re teaching.

Steam Labs needed the site to be simple enough for his younger students to navigate about yet adaptive enough so he could easily update and add his tutorials and articles. 

By creating page templates and calling on inbuilt WordPress elements we were able to ensure both these requirements were met.

Social Media Avatar

Part of the new branding phase was the suggestion Rob have a ‘cartoonish’ avatar made of himself for easier recognition on the Steam Labs social media platforms.

While the DIGITAL BASE team didn’t draw this for him directly, we sourced a suitable artist and managed its commission.

Adaptive Social Media Banners

Using concepts and imagery from discussions with the Steam Labs team were were able to generate a couple of ‘age appropriate’ banners for Steam Labs to use on all their social media platforms.

By putting in a bit of extra effort to begin with, we were able to create a single image that could be used on multiple platforms and which wouldn’t be badly effected by different size ratios.
